Prom 2013!

I really had no plans to go to my senior prom. I just wasn't interested. I don't like dancing so what was the point? All of my friends were going and I do love dressing up so I decided to go at the last minute.

It turned out to be a lot of fun! I wasn't too ecstatic with my hair or make up but oh well.

It was AFTER prom when the real fun began. We had no clue what the plan for the night was, our friend ended up wasted in Waffle House, we sat in a hotel parking lot for 45 minutes only for it to be the wrong hotel, and didn't get home until about 6 am.

I honestly couldn't tell you if that night was a win or fail.

My next few posts....

My next few posts will consist of things that I did about a month ago because I haven't blogged since my laptop broke. So get ready!

Want, Need, Love.

I've found the wonderful site called Wanelo and I love it! I have so many things "saved" and it's inspired me to share my wants, needs, and loves every few weeks or so. Enjoy!

Want:
Flip Flops!
Summer is coming up and I am in love with these. They are cute, simple, and cheap. You really can't go wrong here.

Need:
iPhone charger!
I am in desperate need of a new charger so I figured that while I'm at it, I might as well buy a cute one. Once I get my pay check this little guy is mine! Though I will keep my eye out for a nice chevron one. I'm a sucker for a good chevron print.

Love:
This shirt!
How gorgeous is this shirt? It comes in so many pretty colors too. I can't see myself spending 50 dollars on a plain shirt but THAT BACK.

And there you have it, friends! Go check the website out. You won't be disappointed.

It's been almost a complete month since I've blogged. Apologies! I've been so busy. I started first college, finally got involved in rock the smile, and watched lots of movies.

1. First College
First college is this program where I get to remain a senior in High School but I go to the local community college to take college classes there. It's an AMAZING experience! Some days my schedule sucks but it's definitely better than being in school for 7 straight hours. I'm taking psychology, biology, U.S. History, and Art History. Psych is good, bio is good, U.S History is insanely boring, and Art History is fine but it's almost 3 hours long each week! Not okay.

2. Rock the Smile
Rock the Smile is a benefit dance that is held each year for Operation Smile. Schools from all over our area participate and I think it will be a lot of fun. The main thing is that we are going to be raising SO much money for surgeries and that's fantastic.

3. Lots of Movie
I found this website and let me tell you, it is the best thing since sliced bread. I watch movies on that website at least 5 times a week. Just another way I can procrastinate! Woo woo.

Now I'm off to study.....I think. I really need to but I don't want to. THE STRUGGLE.

Songs that defined 2012.

Call Me Maybe- Carly Rae Jepsen
Why? Obviously it's a catchy song that WILL get stuck in your head whether you like it or not. Also, it was very popular on two of my favorite car rides. The first, my school trip to Washington D.C. with Laura, Samantha, Skylar, and Brooke. The second, a mini weekend trip down to Manteo, NC with Sammi Rhei. It reminds me of the Olympics too which is WONDERFUL.

Somebody That I Used to Know- Gotye
Why? Also relates to the two car rides mentioned above. I also heard it many many times to and from school every day of my Junior year.

We are Young- Fun.
Why? I hate to be redundant but this song also relates to the road trips. Sorry, those were just REALLY fun trips. Though I don't believe this was listened to that much on the D.C. trip. I could be wrong though.

What Makes You Beautiful- One Direction
Why? This song introduced me to One Direction. I'm not a huge fan of the band but this song is amazing. I know I say those^^ songs were part of the D.C. field trip but not like this one. THIS was like the theme song to the trip. Love love love it.

I Knew You Were Trouble- Taylor Swift
Why? I chose this live version because I think it really shows how much Taylor Swift has changed yet stayed the same. She has that fun "I don't care what the critics say" attitude that she had when she was 16 yet she has obviously grown up a lot. This performance is amazing and I just love this song so much.
I'll never change but I'll never stay the same- Taylor Swift

We are Never Ever Getting Back Together- Taylor Swift
Why? Okay, I apologize for putting two Taylor Swift songs up here but there is no denying this is a defining 2012 song. EVERYONE knows it whether you want to. This song has been sung many times by me in school. I have annoyed class mates to no end with me random outbursts of Weeeee-EEEE! I will never ever stop loving this song. Like ever.

And there you have it! My year in songs :)
